CUET is run by Coach Erin Mullane and a group of officers who are elected for each position by all CUET members at the end of each year.

Erin Mullane
Head Coach – English and Western
Erin Mullane was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. Growing up, Erin found a passion for training horses at an early age. Trading chore work for lessons, it was almost a career from the start. During her teenage years, Erin apprenticed for Donna Maye West, owner of Developing Partnerships. There she learned how to start colts, mules and mustangs and work with sour, abused and “problem” horses through natural Horsemanship. Outside of volunteering, Erin had a short but very successful campaign in the Equitation ring.
In 2007 Erin went professional at the age of 18 by joining Sandy Knoll Farms as Assistant Trainer under Lee Reynolds. Working closely beside Reynolds, she concentrated on a competitive teaching program and traveling to show with students and training horses. While at the farm, they worked with green, sour and low confidence horses to gain positive experiences through gymnastics and horsemanship. She also sat on the board of many show organizations as well as helping new organizations form in the region. Erin competed in both the Hunter and Jumper rings. They produced many winning horses and riders together on the local and national level.
In 2010 Erin moved to Wyoming to work as Assistant Trainer to Ken McNabb of Ken McNabb Horsemanship. Her time with Ken included training sale horses, traveling the country with McNabb to put on clinics, teaching students and interns, ranch work and guiding pack trips in the mountains. In 2011 she went on to create Erin Mullane Horsemanship and Equitation (now Broken Heart Horse Sales) for her independant program offering sale horses, performance horse training, colt starting, clinics and lessons in Wyoming, Nebraska, Montana and Colorado. She founded and continues to manage the National Versatility Ranch Horse Association –Wyoming Affiliate.
Erin currently lives outside of Fort Lupton, CO. She trains performance horses and coaches students for USEF, NVRHA and many state recognized associations, such as CHJA. She has been coaching the University of Colorado – Boulder Equestrian Team for two seasons and really enjoys watching her students grow both as riders and young professionals. With over 15 years in the equine industry, she feels a personal duty to continue to spread knowledge of the sport and the equine community with others.
